Leading entrepreneur mentor Mike Southon joined forces with business expert Tony Heywood to found Yoodoo (www.yoodoo.biz), an exciting new website for start-ups. The overall concept is still under wraps but they promise it will deliver a “radically different and exciting entrepreneurship experience”.
Mike Southon is the UK’s leading entrepreneur mentor and co-author of ‘The Beermat Entrepreneur’, which has sold over 75,000 copies in the UK. Its step-by-step guide to starting up and running a successful company; from its birth as an idea on the back of a beermat, through to a flourishing enterprise with 20 or more employees has become a must-read for budding entrepreneurs. ‘Sales on a Beermat’, ‘Finance on a Beermat’ and ‘Marketing on a Beermat’ have followed since. Mike, a serial entrepreneur, built and sold his own company in the 1980s and worked on many start-ups in the 1990s. He has a weekly column on entrepreneurship in the Financial Times, which is read by over 600,000 people.
Tony Heywood is a serially successful senior executive in IT industry, growing and managing companies including Uniplex, Platinum Technology, Open Text and Hummingbird. He has developed technology, grown the businesses, improved productivity and profitability and negotiated successful exits for the shareholders and employees.
Their business concept, Yoodoo, combines the essence of The Beermat Entrepreneur with some of the most exciting technologies and techniques the web has to offer.
