General Management Team Information

Develop the answers to the following questions to make an easy-to-read picture of the Management Team. Many people rate the management team as the most important part of a business, so it’s worth spending some time on this section.

What relevant experience does the MD have in running a business like this one

Who are the key players in the company by job title?

What relevant experience do they have in running a business like this one?

Human Resources Issues

If your business relies on employing staff, show the availability of skilled staff and barriers to staff expansion. If you outsource, how will you keep good controls in place?

Premises, Location, Facilities, Equipment

How do you make your product or deliver your service?

Product Process or Operating Procedures

What stage of production are you at? E.g. design, prototype, full production. How & where is it being produced? How do you make your product or deliver your service? You could include process flowcharts or a clear and concise explanation.

Regulatory & Legal Factors

Give details of actual or expected Patents, Licenses, Copyrights etc. Do you actually own the rights to this product/trademark?

Operational Issues associated with Growth

What is going to limit you as you start to grow? Will it be staff, premises, money, capacity or supply?

Suppliers terms of Trade

Have you secured suppliers and developed terms of trade (such as payment terms)? Are these agreed or just a wish list?

Cost of Product

How much is it going to cost to produce this product or supply the service?

Quality Issues

What quality controls will you need? Will you need certification? How will you maintain the required quality?

Company Structure

Detail the relationship with any other companies connected to you personally or the business. Include previously connected companies.
