I enjoyed it. The unstuffy, relaxed framework meant it is easier to connect with investors, even in just 4 minutes. We got a strongly positive response from 8 of the 18 angels there and am in active follow-up with at least 5 less than a week later. My main criticism is the noise level - all those people pitching hard in a relatively small space made it often hard to hear each other. I had nearly lost my voice toward the end.

The Angels Den speed pitching event is hard work, but dangerously addictive. Speed Pitching is like putting Nitro Glycerine in the engine of your funding process. It risks early destruction of bad business ideas, but it accelerates those that have robust plans. I can't think of a more efficient way to get in front of a large number of potential investors.

If you have done your homework, and are confident that you have a great idea - which is worth investment, there is no reason not to try this. Preparation is key, the Angels Den team know what they are doing, and they make it easy for you to give your idea the best possible chance. After that, it's up to you. Angels were great, atmosphere was exciting - weirdly enjoyable!

As soon as I made the commitment to Angels Den it was, as often happens immediately after making a decision, a relief. What followed was more important - the growing confidence in the value of that decision. Angels Den team is well connected. From what I hear, they have an amazing quantity of investors ... so these guys must respect the people in the organisation and value the AD service. Speed-pitching was an exhilarating experience. I pitched to 10 angels and 4 requested follow up as a result of my 3-minute pitches. I am also receiving interest from angels via my AD on-line Summary.
